Large technology college signs up to Trackplan’s CAFM software

LIT (Limerick Institute of Technology), a large technology college in Ireland, sign up to Trackplan’s CAFM software.

Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT), a large college in Ireland, are using Trackplan’s cloud based facilities management and CAFM software.

LIT is an estate of 5 campuses across Limerick, Clare and Tipperary used by 6,900 students and 500 staff.

Staff email issues to the estates team, which are automatically logged into the software. They are approved into jobs and assigned to the estate team to manage who then instruct the work to the contractors. Larger pieces of work are sent for authorisation first to the head of estates.

In addition over 50 planned maintenance schedules have been set up on Trackplan’s planned maintenance module module. This generates planned jobs and reminders for upcoming work to both the estates team and contractors. It is helping reduce paperwork, cut down on phone calls and emails but most importantly, drive compliance and help promote the well-being of the estate.

Forms are also being used – check-lists and inspection lists are attached to jobs and are saving loads of time for staff and contractors and reducing reams of paperwork that were previously being filled in.
